Tourism eMarketplaceThe Tourism eMarketPlace (TeM) is a multi-million dollar program of work that has spanned over five years and has delivered over fifty websites. Since 2006, the Program has used the Microsoft Office SharePoint Services (MOSS) 2007 for technical implementation. Tourism WA was selected as a member of the Microsoft beta program for MOSS 2007. ScopeTourism WA is building and supporting the Tourism eMarketplace with funding of $15 million spread over 10 years. Tourism WA initiated the Tourism eMarketplace Program (TeM) to create and support the growth of a cohesive, branded network of websites and associated capabilities, such a mapping, itinerary planning and booking. These websites are all accessible from the principal gateway site www.westernaustralia.com and focus Tourism WA's national and international advertising spend by encouraging tourists to visit WA and to purchase tourism product online. TeM has now become a one stop shop for visitors to WA. ChallengesThe challenges for the TeM project were:
Diversus DifferenceDiversus provided expert knowledge of the product to assist Tourism WA in implementation and delivery of all the websites within expected timeframes. Through active participation, Diversus has made numerous recommendations through reviews of the hardware, software configuration, processes, content migration (and deployment) and performance. This has provided Tourism WA the ability to proactively implement continuous improvements and manage new websites and campaigns with minimal issues. |
