The Starlight Adventure challenge on Saturday 25th of July 2015 was held in picturesque Dwellingup. 16?teams competed over a series of events all in the name of raising money to support seriously ill children in hospital.

The event consisted of two running legs, three off-road cycling legs, and two canoe legs. We had a team of eight, with each leg requiring four team members to arrive at the checkpoints together. There was some orienteering skill required in one of the cycling legs as it had four optional checkpoints with time bonuses. There were many challenges during the day; the running and cycling events had steep uphill and downhill sections, while the two person canoes required teamwork to coordinate the rowing and circumnavigate obstacles.

After 7 hours of grueling competition the Diversus team ended the day in 15th place, with all team members tired but still in one piece. All up, the 16 competing teams raised $130,000 for the Starlight Children’s Foundation.

Congratulations to all involved in this great event.

PS. It’s not too late to donate to this great cause, so please go to the Diversus?fundraising page for Starlight – add donations over $2 are tax deductible.
